‘Leader agrees with oil barter to advance rail, transit projects’
TEHRAN- Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ehsan Khandouzi announced that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has agreed with the oil barter trade to advance the country’s railway and transit projects.
The official also said, “The most important economic approach of the 13th government was to return the economy to the path of discipline in the financial and monetary policies of the country so that we can manage the instability of the macroeconomy as a whole.”
Referring to a report on the government's financial performance in the last eight months, he said: “80.5 percent of the public resources of this year's budget have been realized, which is a 56 percent increase compared to what was achieved last year. Also, the realization of oil and gas condensate revenues has increased by 361 percent compared to the same period last year, and stable incomes, including tax and customs revenues, have increased by 67.2 percent compared to the same period last year.”
In terms of the budget for the next Iranian calendar year (which begins on March 21, 2023), the minister said that the government’s approach in this due is to move towards sustainable income growth, production, and sale of government assets, but focusing on sustainable income does not mean tax pressure.
